Our founder, Michelle, has dedicated over 13 years of her life to the wedding industry.  As a luxury wedding photographer, a passion for beauty, light, and form has been at the centre of her journey. Now, this journey is culminating in the creation of A Stór. Meaning 'treasure' or 'love' in Irish, A Stór is a place to celebrate art and love.

Thanks to her mother, a talented dressmaker, Michelle grew up surrounded by creativity and artistry. She spent countless evenings mesmerized by her mother's skill at the sewing machine. Simple fabric transforming into stunning garments before her eyes, like magic. This gave her a deep appreciation for meticulous craftsmanship and design.

Michelle's inspirations are deeply personal, drawn from her life's journey and Irish mythology. The strength and grace of the goddesses of Ireland are a core influence on her work. For years Michelle developed a personal photography project depicting these powerful female figures. She loved their embodiment of divine femininity and strength. This admiration for the female spirit lives on now in A Stór. A Stór's goal is to empower women, making them feel confident and strong while celebrating their innate femininity. The bridal robe collection at A Stór is a testament to this. These designs are inspired by the mythical era. They use delicate fabrics to accentuate the feminine silhouette, helping every bride to feel like a goddess on her special day.
